Fovelox needs Photos access so it can show your library, help you review photos, create or update albums, and move selected items through iOS Photos actions. Nothing leaves your device for normal photo review.

Common questions
Review is the manual workflow for deciding what to keep, delete, favorite, or add to albums. Smart Cleanup groups likely clutter such as duplicates, similar shots, blurry photos, screenshots, videos, and closed-eye photos.
Not immediately in normal iOS Photos behavior. Deleted photos move to Recently Deleted. You can restore them from the Photos app until iOS permanently removes them or you manually delete them forever.
Counts can change when your iCloud photos finish downloading, you grant more Photos access, you delete or restore items, or the app rechecks the library. This is expected for a live photo library.
Yes. Limited access means Fovelox can only show and analyze the selected photos. To review and clean your full library, allow full Photos access in Settings.
Troubleshooting
Fix common issues
Photos are missing
Check iOS Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Photos -> Fovelox. If access is limited, choose more photos or grant full access.
Smart Cleanup is still scanning
Large libraries and iCloud-only items can take longer. Keep Fovelox open, make sure the device has enough battery and storage, and wait for iCloud downloads to finish.
Storage savings do not update immediately
iOS may keep deleted photos in Recently Deleted before storage is fully reclaimed. Open Photos -> Recently Deleted if you need to permanently remove items sooner.
Purchase or restore is not showing Pro
Make sure you are signed into the Apple ID used for the purchase, then use Restore Purchases in the app. If it still fails, contact support.

How Fovelox treats your photos
Fovelox is built around local-first photo organization. The app uses on-device access to display photos, build review queues, estimate cleanup opportunities, and organize albums. Fovelox does not require an account and does not upload your photo library to a Fovelox server.
When you contact support, avoid sending private photos unless support specifically asks for an example and you are comfortable sharing it. A written description, device model, iOS version, and screenshot of the app screen are usually enough.
