Fovelox Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Fovelox is a local-first iOS photo organizer. This Privacy Policy explains how Fovelox handles information when you use the Fovelox app and website.
1. Summary
Fovelox is designed so your photo organization work happens on your device. The app does not require an account. Fovelox does not upload your photo library to Fovelox servers, does not sell personal data, and does not use your photos for advertising.
2. Photos and on-device processing
Fovelox requests access to your iOS Photos library so it can display photos, build review queues, create or update albums, identify cleanup candidates, and move selected items through iOS Photos actions. Photo review, duplicate and similarity checks, blur checks, screenshot grouping, video grouping, album organization, and progress tracking are designed to run locally on your device.
Fovelox may store app-only records on your device, such as review decisions, album organization state, cleanup history, preferences, scan progress, and local metadata needed to make the app work. These records stay in the app's local storage unless you choose to share information with support or use platform services outside Fovelox.
3. Photos permission choices
iOS lets you grant full Photos access, limited Photos access, or no access. If you grant limited access, Fovelox can only show and analyze the photos you selected. You can change access in iOS Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Photos -> Fovelox.
4. Deleted photos and Recently Deleted
When you delete photos through Fovelox, the app uses iOS Photos behavior. Deleted photos normally move to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where Apple may keep them recoverable for a limited period unless you permanently remove them. Fovelox does not control Apple's Recently Deleted retention behavior.
5. Information Fovelox does not collect
Fovelox does not collect your photo contents, does not collect your photo library for server-side processing, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell or share personal data for advertising.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
If Fovelox offers paid features, purchases are handled through Apple's App Store. Apple may process payment information, purchase history, refunds, and subscription status under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Fovelox may use purchase or entitlement information only to unlock paid features and restore access. Your photos are not part of purchase validation.
7. Support communications
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device model, iOS version, app version, screenshots, and the text of your message. We use this information to respond to your request and improve support. Do not send private photos unless you intentionally choose to include them.
8. Website information
The Fovelox website is static and does not require an account. Basic hosting logs may be processed by the hosting provider for security, abuse prevention, reliability, and traffic delivery. These logs may include information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and timestamp. Fovelox does not use website visitors' information for cross-site advertising.
9. Device APIs used by the app
Fovelox may use iOS device APIs needed for app functionality, including Photos access, app preferences, available disk space checks before cleanup scans, and timestamps for app-owned files. These are used to operate the app and keep it reliable.
10. Data retention
Local app records remain on your device until you delete the app, reset local data where available, or iOS removes the data. Support emails may be retained for as long as needed to handle the request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and improve support quality.
11. Children's privacy
Fovelox is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. International users
If you contact support or visit the website from outside your country, your message or basic website request information may be processed in countries where our email or hosting providers operate.
13. Your choices
You can change Photos access in iOS Settings, delete local app data by deleting the app, restore or permanently delete photos through Apple's Photos app, unsubscribe through Apple subscription settings, and contact support to ask about support communications you sent.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Fovelox changes. If the update is material, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
